Please consider helping promote this important program to fight women's cancer with your members - please don't hesitate to reply to this address with any questions.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

You, along with award-winning actress Diane Lane,

can make the “kindest cut of all”!

What is a “Pantene Beautiful Lengths hometown ambassador”?

Pantene Beautiful Lengths is looking for one ambassador from each state to volunteer as a local representative for this year’s campaign, which encourages women and men to grow, cut and donate their healthy hair so that we can create high quality, real-hair wigs for adult women living with cancer-related hair loss. We need a group of volunteers who are passionate enough about the need to help women in one of the greatest fights of their lives that they’ll not only donate their own hair but also encourage people in their communities to donate as well.

Diane Lane will be cutting her hair off live on a national TV show to officially launch the campaign in July 2006, and the 50 Pantene Beautiful Lengths (PBL) hometown ambassadors will cut and donate their hair on that same day. From July to December 2006, PBL hometown ambassadors will volunteer as their state’s local ambassador, doing media interviews and telling their story of commitment to this cause. As a token of gratitude for their volunteer service, each PBL ambassador will receive a year’s supply of Pantene products.

Please check that you meet all of the criteria below, fill out your personal data, as well as provide us with a personal statement of 500 words or less on your personal connection to the cancer cause, in order to be considered. Please use the attachment to fill out the form and return it back to this email address with your state in the subject line along with a digital or scanned picture of yourself. If you are not able to email the application, you can print and fax the completed form to 818-760-0604 or 212-467-0735. Thank you in advance for your support of this program.

CRITERIA:

You must meet all of the requirements listed below in order to apply

¨ Female, or male, over the age of 18

i. Hair must be a minimum of 8 inches long (measured from just above the elastic band of the ponytail to the ends)

ii. Hair must be unprocessed: in other words, it can’t be permanently colored or bleached, relaxed, permed, or otherwise chemically treated

iii. Hair can be colored with vegetable dyes, rinses and semi-permanent dyes and still be eligible

iv. Hair cannot be grey

¨ Available to take an “Ambassador Orientation” training session by telephone in May/June 2006, and committed to delivering campaign messages about Pantene Beautiful Lengths. Some or all of the ambassadors may also potentially travel unaccompanied to New York for a 2-day publicity campaign kick-off during the second week of July

¨ Available to be scheduled for live or taped interviews in their local market from July – December 2006 to discuss the cause – with advance notice and consideration for any work/personal commitments that may interfere with scheduling
